Learn more about Operadog's recording studios
How it all began

Opera Dog Studios is the creation of David Perry, musician, producer and engineer. After producing specials for PBS and BET
and recording projects with NPR he decided to create a recording environment for the discriminating musician and outside producers.

All of the equipment in the studio was chosen to achieve an
end product that competes with the finest studios in the world in while offering a relaxing resort type atmosphere. It is one of the few studios that offers DSD recording in 64 channels .... which sonically offers a vast improvement over standard recordings. There are available accomodations at the studio during the recording sessions for the artists. In addition, 10 minutes away is historic Leesburg, Virginia .. only 15 minutes from Dulles International Airport ... near Washington, D.C.

The sister studio

Studio B was built to accomodate video production and has a separate vocal booth for voice overs and vocals. Here we can work on videos while other sessions are taking place in Studio A.

Carmen Productions

Through his company
Carmen Productions along with his operatic superstar partner Denyce Graves they have created a world class facility in the beautiful Loudoun County of Virginia. Carmen Productions has partnered with PBS, NPR and BET to provide special programming for their networks. Currently CP produces the Denyce Graves Show for XM Satellite Radio.

What's in a name?

Opera Dog Studios is named for our beloved American Eskimo, Madison.
Madison loves to sing opera and vocalizes with Denyce when she warms up for an operatic performance.
